Ptarmigans are a kind of bird. The kind of ptarmigan in the series is most likely the White-Tailed Ptarmigan, as they are the only ptarmigans found in the Americas, the other kinds living in Europe.
Diet[]
- Adults will eat snow buttercup leaves, willow catkins, chickweed, alpine avens flowers, willow twigs and seeds. Chicks will eat insects until their digestive system is more developed to eat plants.

- Ptarmigans are briefly seen when Toklo catches one for the group. He feeds some to Kissimi, who takes a few bites.
